Travel

The best choice is to fly into Barcelona (BCN).  The drive to Girona is about 90 mins. You don’t need a car once you are in Girona but there is free parking with no time limit outside of Old Town and within walking to most places you will likely stay. Everything you need is within walking distance once you are in Old Town including food and bike shops.

From BCN airport, you can get a taxi from the airport and head to Sants Train Station in the center of Barcelona.  From there, you can get a train towards Figueres.  The stop to Girona is about 40 minutes.
